Chit fund organisers ‘go missing’

A couple, who has been running an authorised chit fund firm at Allipuram, Neelam Vepachetu, and a few other areas in the city, is ‘missing’ after collecting around Rs. 2 crore.

According to reports, the couple, A. Santoshi Poornima and A. Nageswara Rao of Allipuram area, started a chit fund company and they developed good contracts with the residents of Allipuram and surrounding areas and expanded their business. However, after collecting an amount of about Rs. 2 crore, they allegedly vanished. The victims of the chit fund on Saturday approached DCP (Law and Order) M. Srinivasulu and lodged a complaint against the couple. Police registered a case and investigation is on.
