Change in platform numbers for trains

Several important originating/terminating express trains as also some passing through trains, being taken on Platform No. 6 of Visakhapatnam Railway Station, are being operated from other platforms in view of repairs to the washable apron of PF-6, according to an official release.

The repairs, which started on Diwali Day, will continue for 45 days. The trains to start from new platforms are: Train No. 22848 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus- Visakhapatnam (via Rayagada), train No. 22204 Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam Duranto, train No.18511 Koraput-Visakhapatnam intercity express, train No.18512 Visakhapatnam-Koraput intercity express and the train No. 58538 Visakhapatnam-Koraput passenger train will arrive on platform No.3 instead of platform Mo.6.

Train No. 78532 Visakhapatnam-Vizianagaram passenger will start from platform No.2 instead of platform No.6, 18309 Sambalpur-Secunderabad express will arrive on platform No.1 instead of platform No.6, 22203 Visakhapatnam-Secunderabad Duranto express will be placed on platform No.5 instead of platform No.6, 18504 Shirdi-Visakhapatnam weekly express, 22884/ 22883 Yesvantpur-Puri-Yesvantpur Garibrath weekly expresses and the train No. 12740 Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam Garibrath will be received on platform No.8 instead of platform No.6, 00839 Howrah-Chennai AC Suvidha special express and the train No. 57272 will be received either on platform No. 1 or on platform No. 7 as per convenience.

Senior Divisional Commercial Manager M. Yelvender Yadav noted that the nomination of platforms may change subject to operational constraints like late running of trains.
