The Visakhapatnam region of APS RTC has earned an income of ₹20 lakh through the operation of 150 special buses for the annual Chandanotsavam festival of Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy at Simhachalam on Wednesday.

The special buses were operated from various areas in the city and district as also from Vizianagaram to Simhachalam for the convenience of devotees visiting the temple.

A total of 40 officers and 70 supervisors were posted at important junctions to monitor the operation of the special buses, Regional Manager G. Sudesh Kumar said in a statement on Thursday.

He thanked the devotees for patronising APSRTC and added that special buses would also be operated during the forthcoming ‘Giri pradakshina’ festival to be held during the ‘Aashada masam’.
