Central staff stage dharna

Central Government employees staged a demonstration in front of the Collectorate here on Monday demanding that the government effect wage revision from January 2014 and to concede other demands.

The Central Government Employees Joint Action Committee, which organised the dharna, also demanded five-year wage revision, lifting of ban on recruitment, avoiding privatisation, PPP or FDI in the Railways and Defence sector and also listed other demands. Trade union leaders T. Narasinga Rao, B.S. Reddy, E. Srinivasa Rao, Parupudi Ravi, and B. Nagabhushanam and others participated along with Central Government employees.
