Divisional Railway Manager Anil Kumar commissioned a Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) security system at Visakhapatnam Railway Station on Thursday. Inspector-General and Chief Security Commissioner, RPF, ECoR, Sanjay Sankrityayan, was present.

Twenty-two CCTV cameras, out of 48 cameras, were installed in the first phase at the railway station as a part of the Integrated Security System of Indian Railways.

The camera system includes fixed cameras, pan, tilt and zoom cameras with a high recording capacity for a longer period with video analysis, which is useful in continuous surveillance over criminal activities.
