Cancellation of agreement demanded

Several intellectuals, senior citizens and leaders of political parties sent an open letter to Minister for Investments and Infrastructure Ganta Srinivasa Rao to return to the government the Zilla Grandhayalay Samsta’s land in the city, which was allotted to Pratyusha Associates, since the agreement for a BOT method of operation was not proper and also because it was not implemented according to the schedule.

They attended a meeting organised by the Visakhapatnam Zilla Grandhalaya Samstha Sthal Parirakshana Committee on the site of library and former VC of Andhra University K.V. Ramana released the open letter.

MLC M.V.S. Sarma, Prof. Ramana, B.L. Narayana of the committee, CPI district secretary J.V. Satyanarayana Murthy, president of Gandhi Centre K.S. Sastry, city secretary of CPI(M) B. Ganga Rao, city president of Lok Satta N. Venugopal, former Corporator Botta Eswaramma, senior citizen M. Varahalachetty, B. Lakshminarayana of BJP and others signed the open letter and spoke at the meeting.
