Campaign on road safety next month

An awareness programme is being organised by the Visakhapatnam District Motor Transport Owners’ JAC to create safety consciousness among road users during the first week of April.

Posters and pamphlets of the awareness campaign were released at a programme organised at the VJF Press Club here on Saturday. JAC coordinator V. Suresh, convener M. Janakiram Reddy, honorary advisor K.V.S. Murthy, president of Quarry Lorry Owners’ Association Potti Ramana and Visaha Goods Transport Association president B. Satyanarayana were among those who were present. Mr. Suresh and Mr. Janakiram Reddy said that there were about 7.7 lakh motor vehicles of various sizes plying on the roads of Visakhapatnam district.
