Call to promote State's culture

Visakhapatnam Steel Plant Director (personnel) Y.R. Reddy on Tuesday called for promoting the culture and traditions of Andhra Pradesh.

Speaking at AP Formation Day celebrations at Ukkunagaram, he said AP was formed for the people who speak Telugu after sacrifices by many. It became the first linguistic State in India.

He said expansion works of VSP were in full swing and very soon it would produce 6.3 million tonne of steel per annum. Earlier, he garlanded Telugu Thalli statue at KBR Junction.

General Manager (personnel) P.M.M.G. Krishna, Deputy General Manager (town administration) Debasis Ray, DGM (general administration) P.K. Mohapatra, and DGM (public health) Prabhudas were present.
