Burglars struck in the heart of the city at Fifth Lane of Dwarakanagar and stole 250 grams of gold ornaments and Rs.2 lakh in cash from an apartment.

The owner of the flat, Bhagyalakshmi went to Ranasthalam and her husband and children were away at Warangal to take an examination. She gave the keys of the flat to the watchman to hand over to her daughter who lives in the city if she came. On Saturday night neighbours found that the main door was open and informed Bhagyalakshmi who lodged a complaint with IV Town police. CI D. Lakshmana Rao is investigating.
