It was a delight to watch children of different age groups browsing the books on display at an exhibition organised at Little Angels School on Sunday evening. There are books on a wide range of topics, and the vibrant colours and pictures drew the attention of kids. The three-day expo, which was organised jointly by Jyothi Book Depot and Pages, the Book Shop, concluded on Sunday.

Amar Chitra Katha comics, the picture story books, which were immensely popular among children about four decades ago, were available in three and five book compilation in ordinary and hardbound editions.

These books depict stories mostly from the Mahabharata, the Ramayana, and Indian mythology. As the expo was organised on the school premises, the visitors were mainly students of the school and their parents. There were books on science, various trades, former President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, health etc.

The other publishers who participated in the expo included Reem, Penguin, Hodder Children’s Books, Harper Collins, Scholastic, Macmillan, Rupa Publications India, Readers Digest, and Pegasus.
