Bishnoi inaugurates flyover in VSP

Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited Chairman-cum-Managing Director P.K. Bishnoi on Saturday inaugurated a new flyover at Ukkunagaram.

Mr. Bishnoi complimented the Project Collective for completing another task essential for smooth and safe functioning of further expansion activities.

The bridge will take care of safety and facilitates smooth flow of vehicles over the tracks for hot metal movement from the new Blast Furnace-3 to new Steel Melting Shop-2.

This is a key activity to be completed before commissioning of BF-3 and SMS-2.The work consisted of four-span four-lane flyover on pile foundations with approaches on both sides along with execution of roads for a length of 500 meters.

The work was executed by Projects Division of VSP in association with RKEC Projects and G.R. Constructions at a cost of Rs. 4.50 crore in a record period of 12 months.

Umesh Chandra, Director (operations), A.P. Choudhary, Director (projects), S.K. Polouse, Executive Director (projects), union leaders, senior officials of VSP and officials of associated agencies were present.
