Pendurti MLA P. Ramesh Babu appreciates Bheemili MLA for strongly expressing his displeasure in regard to bifurcation of the State, before the Antony Committee

Bheemunipatnam MLA Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao began indefinite fast on the National Highway at Tagarapuvalasa on Sunday in support of Samaikyandhra.

Before launching his fast, he worshipped Sri Varaha Lakshmi Nrusimha Swamy, presiding deity of Simhachalam, by going there in a motorcycle rally with 500 protesters. Mr. Srinivasa Rao, MLA, Bheemunipatnam, said he had taken the decision to go on fast respecting the sentiments of the public and to intensify the movement in peaceful manner.

Pendurti MLA P. Ramesh Babu appreciated the Bheemili MLA for having strongly expressed his displeasure in regard to bifurcation of A.P. State before the Antony Committee in New Delhi and demanded a rollback of the decision to bifurcate the State.

Government Whip Dronamraju Srinivasa Rao visited the fast camp in the evening. Non-political JAC Vice-chairman Chandu Subba Rao, co-ordinator P.L.K. Murthy, member P.V.R.U. Murthy, Gajuwaka MLA Chintlapudi Venkatramaiah, Visakhapatnam City Congress Committee President Behara Bhaskara Rao, Mahila Congress President Pedada Ramanakumari, who visited the camp, supported the fast.

PCC member Korada Sankar Rao, Port Trust Director Datla Peda Babu and Bheemili NGOs’ president K. Mutyala Rao participated. EPDCL employees organised a “Vanta-Varpu” protest near their SE (Operations) office supporting Samaikyandhra.

The Congress relay fast at the Gandhi statue continued on the third day on Sunday. There was an altercation between JAC leader J T Rama Rao and Walkers Club members and City Congress Committee president Behera Bhaskara Rao and other leaders with the former objecting to the photos of Sonia Gandhi being carried on the flags.

Housing Corporation employees took out a motorcycle rally from Ushodaya Junction to NAD.
