Impressed by the APEPDCL achieving the lowest aggregate technical and commercial (ATC) losses among all the discoms in the country, Union Minister of State for Power, Coal, and Renewable Energy Sources Piyush Goyal has urged Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to lend the services of the APEPDCL’s Chairman and Managing Director R. Mutyala Raju to the other discoms in the country.
Mr. Goyal has specifically urged the Chief Minister to allow Mr. Raju to share the best practices adopted in the APEPDCL with other discoms in States such a Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar.
The APEPDCL has recorded ATC losses of 5.48 per cent this year, bettering its record of 6.32 per cent for the year 2014-15. It tops the chart in achieving the lowest losses among the 48 other Discoms in the country. According to Ajay Jain, Principal Secretary, Energy, Mr. Raju will share various aspects such as smart metering, mobile Apps, and online bill payment system, apart from technical details, which has enabled the APEPDCL achieve the lowers ATC losses.
