The Rs.45-crore Visakhapatnam-Bheemunipatnam Beach Corridor Project would make the city a hub for leisure tourists and beach lovers, Special Chief Secretary, Tourism Chandana Khan said on Saturday.

During an interactive session with a Canadian delegation, she said the project, which got administrative sanction recently, was being taken up on a fast-track mode by widening the beach road from the city to the 17 century Dutch township and creating amenities all along the corridor.

She said the government was also keen on taking up Arogyadham, Science and Entertainment City, ropeway at Yendada, theme park, wonders of the world and international convention centre to put the city in world tourism map with an investment of around Rs.850 crore.
