Bank adopts high school

One of the oldest schools in the city, MGH High School at Dabagardens, has been adopted by State Bank of Hyderabad under the ‘Sweekaram' programme of the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation. The bank has donated Rs.10 lakhs for renovation and other improvements to the school.

Under the renovation, open air auditorium, elevation to the façade of the building, flooring with tiles and improvement to the main gate area will be taken up. Work on renovation began on Thursday with Mayor Pulusu Janardhana Rao, Visakhapatnam South MLA Dronamraju Srinivasa Rao and SBH Deputy General Manager A.N. Krishnan participating. SBH Assistant General Manager V.S. Pradeep Kumar, Chief Manager Y.G.B.K. Murthy, Branch Manager A. Narasimha Rao and Sweekaram Project Officer K. Vijaya Kumar were present.
