Aviation engineering college launched

Aviation Baba Engineering College (AEC), a venture of Aviation Baba Aero Services Private Limited, is offering four new courses - B.Tech in aeronautical engineering, B.Sc. in aircraft maintenance engineering, Bachelor in Mass Communication and Journalism, and Bachelor in Fashion Technology, from the academic year 2012-13, according to AEC chief executive officer Anshu Chaudhary.

Addressing a press conference here on Monday, she said the main objective of the college was to train students and promote the knowledge of aeronautical science to make a career in aeronautics and to meet an ever increasing demand of competent engineers and technocrats for executing various industrial projects in public and private sectors in India and abroad.

AEC director S. Mishra said the college provides experienced faculty and well equipped laboratories apart from inviting guest lecturers in the subject from aeronautic firms.

The college is affiliated to Singhania University in Rajasthan being run by the Rajasthan government.

Students, who study the degree for 4 years will have exposure to a year's industry experience.

The course comprises lateral integration of a wide variety of knowledge disciplines and regular industry visits and annual internships.
