It is not always possible to find a place for a dumper bin especially in crowded localities. The simple reason is that none wants it close to his/her premises.
Dumper bins replaced the small dustbins. Garbage collected from the houses is dumped in the bigger bins and after it is full it is replaced by another bin. But problems abound with bins overflowing and not replaced regularly with their availability always a problem.
It is not always possible to find a place for a dumper bin especially in crowded localities. The simple reason is that none wants it close to his/her premises. With their not being replaced regularly, it is not always possible to live comfortably near a bin. If one is having a shop or business, it is likely to influence customers and make them skip that block without noticing the shops nearby. But in the One Town area a dumper bin finds its place almost in the middle of the road, which itself is not quite wide. The road being narrow it almost appears to be difficult to place a bin there. But the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation has not introduced its dust-bin free wards programme all over the city and its solid waste management plans are not yet in place. In the Town Kotta Road area, a dumper bin had been placed before one shop. After objection from shop keeper, it was shifted near the next shop. Later, it was moved another block and placed before the Andhra Bank branch. The bank staff is obviously not sure what to do about it. And a customer can not always be choosy about his bank.
