Meeting of stakeholders to be organised on June 1
The GVMC will organise a meeting to elicit views and take suggestions from all concerned on the design and development of Sivaji Park.
Those operating various entertainment and amusement units such as snow world, water world, giant wheel, and toy train, developers, promoters, architects, and those experienced in the management of parks are expected to attend the meeting to be held at the amphitheatre of Sivaji Park at 5 p.m. on June 1.
Those who wish to participate should register their names by May 30 directly during the working hours at the GVMC main office or by calling PRO P. Govindarajulu (9948078503) or Horticulture Officer Damodara Rao (9951980599). Municipal Commissioner B. Ramanjaneyulu, who visited the park on Saturday evening, said it would be developed as per international standards.
He interacted with visitors and those practising at the skating rink. He suggested further development of the rink, musical fountains, mini restaurant, snacks stall, walking track, space for yoga, gym for men and women, and sound-and-light show. This apart, the need for providing transport to visitors leaving the park was also felt.
Additional Commissioner S. Krishna Murthy, Chief Engineer B. Jayarami Reddy, Zone Commissioner P. Durga Prasad, Horticulture Assistant Director Balaramakrishna, and Sports Director Y. Srinivasa Rao were present.
