A study team from Agartala Municipal Council on Wednesday visited the corporation and was given a detailed presentation on the working of GVMC, pinpoint sanitation, the steps it is taking to reduce pollution by introducing cycling zones, planting of saplings and programmes to promote education like Vidyasri and Balyam. The 23-member team is led by council vice-chairperson Samar Chakravarthy. Additional Commissioner (Projects) K. Ramesh made the presentation.
