The Dalita Hakkula Porata Samithi (DHPS) has demanded arrest of all the accused in the alleged rape and sexual harassment of a Dalit woman employee of Brandix India Apparel City (BIAC), located at Atchutapuram, in the district.

These five accused were trying to influence the witnesses, they alleged. They also demanded payment of compensation to the victim under the SC/ST Atrocities (Prevention) Act, 2015.

DHPS State president J.V. Prabhakar and its secretary B. Venkata Rao, AP Mahila Samakhya leaders B. Parameswari, M. Anuradha and Sambhavi Barla were among those were in the delegation.
