Free Army Recruitment Rally began in Rampachodavaram on a grand note on Monday. Additional SP (Operations) Vikramjit Duggal and ITDA Project Officer (PO) Ronald Roze inaugurated the rally and about 300 tribal boys cheered the event with enthusiasm.

Addressing the tribal youths, the PO said that generally tribals were having good physic, but they were not having qualifications and technique to enter Army recruitment.

He said that first of all they have to pass running, pull-ups, pits, hurdles and medical fitness tests and get into the Army.

He said that ITDA had made all arrangements including boarding and lodging facilities to about 220 youths who were going to take part in training till June 6.

The PO also said that they were arranging transport facility to youths to go to Eluru where recruitment will take place on June 7.

OSD Duggal said tribal youths were the fittest personalities in Army, Navy and any other challenging jobs with their physic.

In the five-day training camp, the police will give training in all aspects including psychological tests. He said tribals were having all the qualities for qualifying in Army recruitment examinations, but they only lack direction and right advice.

The OSD said that the selection for training camp was done from all seven mandals of Rampachodavaram sub-division. Circle Inspectors MVS Murhty, KKCV Rao, Siva Kumar and others participated in the programme.
