GVMC commissioner B. Ramanjaneyulu inaugurated the three-day architectural building material and interiors exhibition dubbed as ‘Architech Show- 2012' organised by the Millennium Trade Wings in association with The Indian Institute of Architects, local chapter at the Swarna Bharati Indoor Stadium here on Friday.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that the exhibition of the kind organised by the Millennium Trade Wings was a great boon to the city which was growing in leaps and bounds. The building architecture, pre-fabricated structures and materials exhibited in the show would be of immense benefit to the builders as most of the stalls exhibited cost-effective material. Architecture and buildings add to the beauty of a city. He hoped that the builders would take full advantage of the exhibition and adopt cost-effective technologies to offer houses and buildings at an affordable price to the common man. The exhibition has about 30 stalls touching on varied subjects including arts and interiors, acoustic systems and controls, cement products, furnishing and fixtures, doors and window systems, kitchen utilities, toilet accessories, pre-fabricated housing material, wall covering, water storage system, aluminium products, cables and wires, clay products and earth stone furniture etc. The exhibition will conclude on Sunday and is open to the general public.
