APSCHE clueless on engineering admissions

July 22, 2014 11:29 pm | Updated 11:29 pm IST - HYDERABAD:

The A.P. State Council of Higher Education is clueless on how to go ahead with the engineering counselling process after the Supreme Court made it clear that it had not stopped the counselling process.

A senior official said that the Telangana government was yet to respond on the modalities both for fee reimbursement and management quota admissions. Unless there is clarity on these issues it is difficult to conduct the counselling.

Officials also fear that the process itself will land in legal problems if fee reimbursement issue for students with roots in Seemandhra is not settled fast.

Meanwhile, the senior officials committee consisting of a group of Principal Secretaries of Telangana, which was supposed to meet on Tuesday to form the guidelines for the Financial Assistance to Students of Telangana, has been postponed. The meeting will be held on Wednesday, according to officials.
