The Welfare Departments have invited applications from meritorious SC, ST, BC, minority and disabled persons for admission into reputed private junior colleges for Intermediate and EAMCET coaching.
The students will also get a chance to undergo specialised coaching for IIT and AIEEE. Those scoring 400 marks and above can apply. First preference will be given to those securing 500 marks and above. The final number of seats to be filled will be subject to guidelines to be issued by the government shortly. Sixty per cent of total seats will be filled by girls only.
According to a release issued by the Deputy Director of Social Welfare and member-convener, District Selection Committee, the students found eligible will be considered for admission as per the guidelines issued by the GO Ms. No. 235 (Social Welfare (Edn.2) Department dated March 28, 2011.
In the scheduled areas, selection will be made by the Project Officer, Integrated Tribal Development Agency. Filled-in applications should reach the Deputy Director (SW), Sector-9, MVP Colony, Visakhapatnam or before June 13. Tribal students should submit their applications in the office of Project Officer, ITDA, Paderu.
