Taking exception to the language and epithets used by TDP president and former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu against UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Government Whip Dronamraju Srinivasa Rao described as hollow his criticism of the CWC decision to bifurcate the State.
Mr. Srinivasa Rao told reporters on Sunday the decision was taken based on the letter of Mr. Chandrababu Naidu and wondered whether he did not remember the problems of Andhra region at that time. Accepting the decision of CWC, he had demanded Rs. 4 lakh crore for exclusive construction of a new capital for Seemandhra. He had also kept quiet when TRS president K. Chandrasekhar Rao threatened people from Andhra.
Describing Mr. Naidu’s tour as an election campaign, he said it was diluting the movement.
