The city round of The Hindu and Cello Handwriting Wizard contest evoked a good response.

From 35,000 students who took part in the preliminary round at the school level, a total of 810 were shortlisted from 136 schools.

In all, six students from each school made their way to the city round.

All the participants received certificates and the top three winners in each category received mementoes, goodies, and certificates.

Dhavala Keerthi Priya (Class VI) from S.R. Digi School, S.K. Joshna (Class VII) from Pratibha Public School, Rajahmundry, and V. Sai Vijay Bhupati (Class VII) from Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan (TPT branch) were among those who grabbed the top three prizes in the junior category.

The top three winners in the senior category were Twinkle Shaji (Class IX) from Ramnath Secondary School, D. Sri Satya Sai (Class X) from Chalapati Public School, and A.S.L. Meghana (Class X), Bhashyam School-Kakinada.

The winners said that it was such a wonderful experience to participate in the contest.

“I thank my grandma for inspiring me to improve my handwriting ever since I was a child. She is my role model and I owe my success to her, my parents, and teachers,” said Sai Vijay Bhupati.
