A map of India was carved on the tip of the pencil by micro artist Gattem Venkatesh to mark the Independence Day celebrations.

The fourth year student of GITAM School of Architecture said that the two-hour-long exercise turned out to be fruitful as he could complete creating the little marvel in the first attempt. With 0.6 mm length and 0.3 mm width, the micro artist said the map was carved to promote patriotism among the youth.

Using a cutter and a surgical blade, Mr. Venkatesh designed a number of miniature marvels.

Recently he made an entry into the Guinness Book of World Records for designing miniature model of the Empire Estate Building on a toothpick.
