The Board of Control for Cricket in India has selected M. Ajay Kumar for its specialist academy in pace bowling at Mohali and T. Vamsi Krishna for its specialist wicketkeepers' academy in Chennai.
The coaching camp for these two players selected in the first batch of trainees along with other outstanding performers who had exhibited their talent this season in Under 22 age group starts on Monday and continues till February 6, according to a release of Andhra Cricket Association. Ajay Kumar was captain of ACA Under 22 team which entered the All India Knockout tournament for Col. CK Nayudu Trophy. T. Vamsi Krishna, as captain of ACA Under 19 team, scored a brilliant 196 against Assam in the knock out match at Visakhapatnam to bring ACA to elite group from plate for the 2011-12 season. The ACA office-bearers congratulated the two players from Andhra and exuded confidence that many other players would find places in the BCCI specialist academies of batting, spin bowling, pace bowling and wicket keeping.
