Victims of AgriGold will hold protests, under the aegis of Agrigold Customers and Agents Welfare Association, at the Collectorates all over the State on April 23, according to the honorary president of the association and CPI State assistant secretary Muppala Nageswara Rao.
The State government should seize the assets of the company and do justice to the victims. The government, which was saying that the assets of AgriGold were more than that of its liabilities, should immediately confiscate them and do justice to depositors, Mr. Nageswara Rao told a media conference here on Saturday.
He warned that the AgriGold agitation would be intensified from May this year, if the government fails to do justice to the depositors. He said it was the CPI, which was fighting for the cause of Special Category Status to AP and sought that all political parties should join the struggle by the Pratyeka Hodha Sadhana Samithi.
The CPI leader said people of AP were not ready to believe the ‘deeksha’ by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. He wondered as to what prompted the Chief Minister to organise a ‘deeksha’ after dodging the issue for four years.
