A greenfield international airport, maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility and an aero city will be developed at Bhogapuram in the backward district of Vizianagaram, about 40 km from here.

He said besides a major port by the Centre at Dugarajapatnam, the government was proposing to set up minor ports at Machilipatnam, Nizampatnam, Vodarevu, Meghavaram (captive), Nakkapalli and Kakinada SEZ.
