Advocates in 13 districts of Andhra Pradesh would boycott courts on Monday in protest against the attack by Telangana advocates on judicial officers and advocates of AP origin, in Hyderabad on February 27, president of Visakhapatnam Bar Association J. Pridhviraj said here on Sunday.

Addressing a press conference along with senior member of the AP Bar Council S. Krishna Mohan and secretary of Visakhapatnam Bar Association M.S. Madhav, Mr. Pridhviraj condemned the attack by Telangana advocates who threw eggs on Second Additional District Judge M. Gandhi and Metropolitan Sessions Judge Nagarjuna and took exception to Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao not condemning the incident even though a few days ago he assured that Andhras in Telangana would face no harm.

Mr. Pridhviraj warned of strong retaliation from advocates who have settled in Hyderabad and from AP if attacks by advocates continued in Hyderabad. Regarding creating a High Court for AP, Mr. Prudhviraj said a memorandum was submitted to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to get a resolution passed in Legislative Assembly, since the Union Law Minister said no requisition was received from the State.
