Admiral Joshi visits Eastern Naval Command Headquarters

Chief of Naval Staff Admiral D.K. Joshi was accorded a 50-man Guard of Honour on arrival at the Command Headquarters here on Tuesday.

The Chief of the Naval Staff held discussions with Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Naval Command, Vice- Admiral Anil Chopra and attended a presentation on the activities and future projects of the Command. The Admiral visited establishments of the Command, and reviewed the Eastern Fleet at sea wherein ships, submarine and aircraft of the Command participated.

Admiral Joshi will preside over the induction ceremony of the Hawk 132, Advanced Jet Trainer aircraft into the Indian Navy, scheduled to be held on Wednesday.

Admiral and Ms. Joshi are on a two-day visit to the Eastern Naval Command, and are scheduled to leave the city on Thursday.
