The process for the election of ZPTC and MPTC members begins on Monday with the filing of nominations. The last date for filing of nominations is March 20.
While the ZPTC nominations have to be filed at the office of the ZP CEO, the MPTC papers have to be filed at the respective MPDO offices. District Collector S. Solomon Arokia Raj, who held a meeting with special officers, returning officers, and assistant returning officers on Sunday, said officials, notwithstanding the stress because of a series of elections, should follow the procedures the instructions of the Chief Electoral Officer.
