Nearly 40 doctors and nurses of King George Hospital, Andhra Medical College and other hospitals had undergone advanced cardiac life supporting (ACLS) certification programme which concluded in KGH on Sunday afternoon. ACLS was extremely useful in reviving patients in emergency situations like shock, convulsions, drowning, fire accidents and road traffic accidents before the actual medical care was provided, HoD of Gastroenterology P. Muralikrishna said.

The three-day programme was conducted by HOD of Emergency Medicine of St. John's Medical College (Bangalore) Sakuntala Murthy and her team. Director of Medical Education T. Ravi Raju, gave away certificates to the course participants.
