Achievers from city feted at Vizag Awards Nite-2014

It was an evening of glamour and glitz as achievers from diverse spheres were honoured at ‘Vizag Awards Nite 2014’ at Gurajada Kalakshetram here on Sunday.

Organised by V Team, an event management company, the programme packed many entertaining elements like music and dance to engage the energetic crowd, assembled to cheer the awardees.

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Mahendra Patrudu, who was one of the invitees, utilised the platform to create traffic awareness among the audience.

“Presently, traffic regulation is one of the much discussed topics across the States. In tune with it, I request each one of you to adhere to the traffic rules and contribute to traffic discipline,” he said.

An upcoming singer Rachna regaled the audience with her soothing voice, while tiny tots from Ralla Bella International Pre-School performed classical dance.

After receiving the award, the city-based mimicry and dubbing artiste Baba Bhaskar held the audience spellbound with his mimicry show.

Subrahmanyam, Editor of the evening daily ‘Public’ Chintakindi Srinivasa Rao, Vizag Journalists Forum president Gantla Srinu Babu, Maa TV programming director Abbai Sastry, stunts man Tirupati, snake catcher R. Kiran Kumar, star-maker L. Satyanand , Traffic Police constable (I Town) Saraswathi, II Town SI Ramesh and Badamgir Sai of Rangasai Nataka Grandhalayam were some of the 30 eminent personalities feted on the occasion.

The organiser of the event Veeru Mama of V-Team said that the main objective of the event was to honour local talent and set an example for others to host similar programmes in future.

Founder of Nirmal Jyothi Foundation Annam Reddy Ramesh, CEO of Varun Motors (Two Wheelers) Srinivas and actor Kumaran were some of the invitees who participated in the programme.
