‘Achieve zero accident record’

RINL Director (Operations) Umesh Chandra on Monday called for efforts to achieve zero accident record.

Highlighting various safety measures taken by the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant during commissioning of expansion units and in the operation of the existing units, he told a seminar on industrial safety titled ‘Challenges of frontline managers/supervisors for enhancing effectiveness of industrial safety’ that safety ws of utmost importance for any organisation.

He complimented the Safety Engineering Department for organising the seminar on such a large scale. He said such meetings would help in giving necessary inputs to frontline managers in order to achieve the goal of zero accident.

Earlier, he inaugurated the seminar conductedon the occasion of 43National Safety Day in the presence of Inspector of Factories R. Trinadha Rao, RINL Executive Director (Works) D.N. Rao.

Mr. Trinadha Rao in his speech emphasised that imparting the knowledge on safety to employees was the responsibility of the management.
