ACB team raids residential college

A special team of Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) led by DSP K. Ramakrishan Prasad, conducted surprise raid at AP Social Welfare Residential Junior College in Golugonda, on Friday.

The raid was conducted based on information of irregularities at the college.

The team found a lot of irregularities in the record pertaining to supply of food, doctoring of the prescribed menu and stock of provisions.

According to Mr. Prasad, over 6,000 note books which were meant for free distribution were found on the premises unaccounted.

This apart, the laboratory, library and dormitory buildings that were meant to be completed by July 2015, were still incomplete and the students were made to sleep in a dilapidated building, despite receiving the funds on time.

A raid was simultaneously conducted at the tribal welfare hostel at Narasayyapeta in V. Madugula mandal.
