ACB probe ordered

Judge of the ACB Court here G.V. Krishnaiah on Thursday directed the Deputy Superintendent of Police of the ACB to investigate into the allegations levelled by the owner of the land on which Eenadu is located, against the chairman of the newspaper group, its MD, and two retired IAS officers who worked as Collector here.

The Judge said the court found primary evidence of misuse of power by government servants – S.V. Prasad, who is now Vigilance Commissioner, and K.V. Rao – in the allotment of a piece of land to Eenadu, in the complaint. .

The court called for the report by April 16.
