Fourth graduation ceremony of GITAM School of International Business held

“Opportunities and ideas are in abundance today which was not the case 40 years ago when everybody went abroad to find work.

Today we must keep in mind that we need to create wealth which will in future create jobs,” said Raj. S Dhankar, Dean, FMS, New Delhi who was the guest of honour at the fourth graduation ceremony of GITAM School of International Business here on Saturday.

He encouraged the graduates not to underestimate their capabilities and asked them to keep in mind that the soul of any business is profit combined with welfare of people.

V.K Kumar Dean and Director of GSIB presented the annual report of the school and listed the various achievements of the students and their placement record before giving them their awards, medals, certificates and degrees. Aneesha Anand received a the Dr. K. Rosaiah Award for excellence which included a cash prize. She also received a full fee waiver for her overall performance.

Chief Guest at the ceremony Srikanth Badiga, Director, Phoenix India Group of Companies congratulated the students and said that the real test for them begins now and that they must conduct themselves well in the field to give a good name to not only their college but their family as well.

CEO of redbus.in Phanindra Sama was conferred an honorary fellowship and gave the students an inspiring talk about how he formed his company.
