The abandoning of a locker by a cyclist and his pillion rider in a crowded locality in Daba Gardens created panic on Tuesday evening.
On being questioned by a two-wheeler rider on what they were carrying, a cyclist and the pillion rider fled after leaving the locker on the road. Police were alerted by the eyewitnesses. A bomb disposal squad was also pressed into service, but finally it proved to be a hoax. Two Town SI Yerran Naidu is investigating the case.
