The process of linking electoral photo identity card (EPIC) with Aadhaar number was launched by District Collector N. Yuvaraj on Tuesday.
He gave a copy of his Aadhaar card to Electors’ Registration Officer and Additional Joint Collector D. Venkat Reddy.
Visakhapatnam has been selected for EPIC-Aadhaar linking by the Central Election Commission.
Dr. Yuvaraj said from next week booth-level officials would be available at the field-level, and voters should give them a copy of their Aadhaar cards. Voters may also link it up online (self-seeding), portal-seeding, mobile-seeding, SMS-based and call centre-based.
