The Hindu MetroPlus Lifestyle Show-2012 gets under way

A good collection of bedcovers in digital prints, a blend of velvet and silk materials, and summer quilts in bright and golden shades were on display at The Hindu MetroPlus Lifestyle Show-2012, which began on Friday evening.

For those who want to deck up their home with trendy decors, Rajasthan sandstone marbles, silk and shaggy carpets, artificial bonsai plants, creepers and glitzy flowers and vases are on display. There are handmade heat resistant plastic lampshades from Leolights.com, where colour customisation can be done on request.

Kids have a ‘learning time’ corner to browse and get a combo pack of DVDs, CD, activity books, and CD ROMS to sharpen their intellectual skills.

Prestige offers discounts ranging from 20 to 40 per cent on home appliances. Hayagriva Shoppe is offering a huge range of consumer durables and electronic products at best price.

“It creates a platform for both retailers and consumers, providing a win-win situation,” said Vice-Chairman of VUDA Kona Sasidhar inaugurating the show.

He appreciated the initiative taken by the The Hindu MetroPlus team for educating the consumers and exhibiting a wide range of products every year.

“We are planning to open trade centres in Madhurawada shortly and we look forward to The Hindu to exhibit their show on our premises next year,” he said.
