January 22, 2017 01:35 am | Updated 01:35 am IST - VISAKHAPATNAM:

In a move to promote national integration, A Creative Makers in Events (ACME) is organising a mass singing of the National Anthem on Tuesday.

Over 5,000 students, NSS volunteers, NCC cadets and a number of volunteers from various NGOs and organisations will gather at Alwar Das stadium sing ‘Jana Gana Mana’ in chorus for a minimum of 10 times.

Announcing this at a media conference here on Saturday, founder-president of ACME Pratap Kumar said the celebration also marks the day of adoption of National Anthem. “The objective is to strengthen patriotism among students and encourage them to play a significant role in contributing to the nation,” he said, adding that an ambulance service will be facilitated at the stadium to meet any emergency situation. ‘Jana Gana Mana’ event is being organised in association with the Department of Language and Culture. Panchayat Raj Minister Ch. Ayyanna Patrudu will inaugurate the programme.
