It’s remonetisation, says Haribabu

MP K. Haribabu has described demonetisation as re-monetisation aimed at launching a crusade against corruption, curbing black money and fake currency in the country.

He made this observation at the silver jubilee celebrations of Ukkunagaram chapter of Institute of Cost Accountants of India. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Haribabu said the Narendra Modi Government was taking all steps to increase the growth rate in the country and GST (one nation-one tax) would be implemented in the country by July 2017.

RINL Director (Projects) P.C. Mohapatra appreciated the role played by the CAs in the changing economic scenario and the efforts of Ukkunagaram chapter in helping industrial requirements of the Vizag and its nearby areas.

ICAI national president Manas Kumar Thakur reiterated the role of CAs in the changing economic scenario particularly in demonetisation and digitalisation. He also said CAs were the backbone to the economy and they were the resource managers and management accountants. Mr. Thakur felicitated the past chairmen and secretaries of the Ukkunagaram chapter on the occasion. Southern India Regional Council chairman V. Murali delivered the keynote address on the changing economic scenario in the country. Joint Director of STPI M.P. Dubey spoke on digital economy.
