More than 74 students of St. Anns School in Chintapalli mandal of Visakhapatnam Agency area were hospitalised, reportedly due to food poisoning on Sunday night. According to Chintapalli DSP Raghavendra Rao, the students were admitted to the local area hospital on Sunday night and discharged on Monday morning after being administered medicines.

The affected students were from third to tenth standard.

“There was a feast at the school on Sunday, and the children appear to have eaten to excess. This could be the possible cause,” Chintapalli Circle Inspector Rudrashekar said.
