Four women and a man were taken into custody by the police on charge of indulging in a sex racket.
A woman was allegedly running a brothel in the name of a beauty parlour at an apartment complex on the Beach Road. On a tip-off, the Three Town police conducted a raid and took the organiser, the owner of the flat, and three women, who were reportedly indulging in prostitution, into custody on Wednesday.
Inspector Lakshmana Murthy is investigating the case.
