Additional commissioner (general) G.V.V.S. Murthy and Swachh ambassadors on Monday flagged off three ‘Swachhate Seva’ campaign vehicles.
The vehicles are readied with ₹ 20 lakh by CMR Group.
Mr. Murthy said residents should segregate dry and wet waste at home and hand it over to municipal workers. Bulk waste generators and resident welfare associations should set up composting machines for turning waste into compost.
Swachh ambassadors’ convener V. Balamohandas spoke on recycling waste.
MD of CMR Group Mavoori Venkataramana said campaign vehicles were his contribution to achieve the goal of Swachh Visakha.
