3 hurt as bus rams tree

Three persons including the driver of an APSRTC bus was injured when the bus while negotiating a sharp bend near Tyda rammed a tree. The incident occurred on Tuesday, when the bus was coming from Araku to Visakhapatnam with about 50 passengers.

According to the Araku Police Station SHO Simhadri Naidu, due to incessant rain and heavy fog, the visibility was very poor and the driver misjudged the sharp bend and rammed the tree.

The diver, the conductor and a passenger who suffered injuries were moved to S. Kota area hospital for treatment. The other passengers were sent to Visakhapatnam in another APSRTC bus.
