City numismatist D. Satyabuddu has added two more coins to his collection.
One of them is from Bailiwick of Guernsey, a British Crown dependency off the English Channel, issued in 2011.
The silver coin with gold coating in the shape of ‘8’ is valued at 5 Pound-Sterling. On the obverse side it has Queen Elizabeth II and on the reverse a field of poppies. According to Mr. Satyabuddu, the value of the coin is above Rs.3,000 in the country. K. Asrita of Bangalore presented it to him.
Motorcycles on coins
The second collection is a bunch of six replicas of motorcycles issued by the Federal Republic of Somalia. The six are a set of silver-plated multicoloured coins in the shape of motorcycles based on popular companies’ designs.
The coins measuring 45mmX25mm are a collector’s item and are not meant for circulation. The coins have a denomination of $ 1 each. The coins were presented to Mr. Satyabuddu by city gynaecologist K. Ramalakshmi.
