2 burglar gangs busted, stolen articles recovered

Two gangs of burglars were busted, their members arrested, and stolen property worth over Rs.2 lakh recovered by the II Town Police on Friday.

In the first case, a three-member gang comprising I. Srinu, A. Ramu and KJ Swaroop of Allipuram area was involved in six house break-in incidents under II Town Police Station limits in the city. The trio was arrested by Crime Wing police on a tip-off. The police recovered gold and silver ornaments and a laptop, all worth about Rs.2 lakh, from the gang, according to the Additional DCP (Crime) S Varada Raju.

In another case, a five-member gang – P. Gopi, N. Murugan, C. Gowraiah, G. Srinu and P. Nagaraju – involved in breaking of shutters and looting the valuables from shops was busted.

The police recovered Rs.2,000 in cash and some articles from the gang.
